I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, with a concentration in Statistics, and I finished a Master's degree in Applied Statistics at Illinois State University in December 2013. Before obtaining my Bachelor's degree, I spent many years working as an office assistant, mostly on college campuses. After I received my degree, I spent about 5 years working in various data analysis positions and tutored math on the side. In August 2013, Midstate generously created a position for me that combined my skill with data sets along with my love for teaching - my official job title was Institutional Research Coordinator, and I also taught 2 or 3 classes per quarter.
In November of 2016, with a heavy heart, I left my position at Midstate when I was offered the position as Director of Institutional Effectiveness for Lincoln College. I'm on a career path now that would not have been possible were it not for Midstate giving me that first opportunity. I'm thrilled to be back, adjunct teaching for them, as I truly believe in the mission & goals of this institution!
