HI225: Healthcare Law and Ethics - 4 Hours
This course is designed to provide legal and ethical information for the employment in and delivery of health care. Topics will include legislative process, reimbursement and reporting requirements, workplace regulations, HIPAA regulations, privacy, security, confidentiality, and policies and requirements regarding the collection and documentation, and maintenance of health information. Students will also study ethical implications of many controversial medical practices, living wills, and advanced directives.
