Director of Financial Assistance

Description: A minimum of three years Financial Assistance experience, one year of supervisory experience, and knowledge of COD, NSLDS, and EdConnect is required. The Director of Financial Assistance should possess excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and motivational skills.

The Director of Financial Assistance will adhere to the federal and state regulations and the institution's policies and procedures for all financial aid programs, process student funding and ensure excellent student service.

Collects, verifies, and manages confidential student financial assistance documents using a record keeping system that will provide the necessary information required for documentation by the DOE and ISAC. This position requires regularly meeting with students, packaging student aid funding, and issuing award letters to students in a timely manner.

Other potential tasks include:
- Certifying loan applications;
- Processing disbursement rosters for all fund sources;
- Approving or denying student requests for special circumstances considerations and dependency overrides;
- Monitoring satisfactory academic progress of students on a quarterly basis in conjunction with other administration;
- Working closely with the Controller to monitor award and fund balances;
- Closing files of withdrawing and graduating students and suppling appropriate exit materials;
- Working closely with the Accounting Office to return Title IV funds and make refunds;
- Preparing the Student Enrollment Report in a timely manner;
- Supervising the Financial Assistance Officer and Staff Accountant;
- Attending workshops and conferences to remain current with regulatory changes;
- Preparing information for Gainful Employment reporting;
- Preparing materials for all audits;
- Other tasks as applicable.

Midstate College is currently accepting applications for our Adjunct Instructor - Applicant Pool. - Instructor in Medical Assisting (Bachelor degree in applicable field, CMA (AAMA), or an RMA (AMT) certification, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Institutional Research and Assessment Coordinator

Description: Reporting to the Dean of Academics, this position assembles, generates, and reports institutional research and assessment data. Some essential functions include:

- Producing timely reports with the advanced ability to analyze data, publish results, and make recommendations;

- Maintaining and supporting data related to assessment and accreditation;

- Researching and reporting key findings and trends while applying advanced knowledge of institutional research methodologies and software systems;

- Analysis of data such as IPEDS, learning outcomes and assessment, course demand, student demographic, and student enrollment;

- Designing and implementing surveys and complementary analytics;

- Serving on college committees as assigned.

Other Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in statistics required; Master's degree in a related field with one year of relevant IR experience in higher education is preferred;

- Excellent oral and written communication skills;

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;

- Proficient in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines while remaining courteous and professional with faculty, staff, and peers.
