MAT001 Section DF - 2018 Winter Term

MAT001: Fundamentals of Mathematics - 4 Hours

This developmental course serves as an introduction to basic and fundamental mathematics which includes reading and writing whole numbers, the operations associated with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, mixed numbers, decimals, and percents. The course also covers applications of ratio and proportion and an introduction to the foundations of algebra. Solving word problems is emphasized throughout the course. Course fees may apply. Credit not applicable toward degree programs.
