This course provides an examination of the nature and role of the law in our society with emphasis on the legal environment in which business operates and the application of legal principles relative to commercial transactions. Students will gain an understanding of the U.S. legal system, the law of contracts, and the Uniform Commercial Code regulating the sale of goods and commercial paper.
