JR265 Section EC - 2019 Summer Term

JR265: Judicial Reporting Procedures - 4 Hours

Prerequisite: JR206

This course is designed to provide judicial reporting students' knowledge and skills needed to take on the role of a professional reporter. Topics include the role of the reporter in trials, depositions, and administrative hearings; marking and handling of exhibits; storage of notes; researching citations; transcript preparation and production; reporting and transcription of jury selection; proofreading; and interpreted proceedings. The NCRA Code of Professional Ethics will be studied and discussed.
